About

Asha Daniels (Ash)

Born and raised in India to an Indian father and Canadian mother, Ash lived in India for 27 years and began her Yoga training in Bangalore at age 24.

She has over 15 years of experience teaching Yoga across India, Australia, and Canada, and views Yoga as a living philosophy — a path of union with all life — not simply a physical practice.

In 2023, Ash was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, a life-changing autoimmune condition that required a complete re-evaluation of how she lived, worked, and cared for her body.

Drawing from her extensive Yoga training, personal research, and lived experience, Ash developed Yoga classes, workshops and sound circles to support others living with autoimmune conditions, chronic fatigue, and stress — offering tools that are accessible, compassionate, and sustainable.

Our Story

Ash Yoga exists to offer practical, compassionate, and authentic Yoga practices that meet people where they are and support sustainable wellbeing in modern life.

Through education, embodied practice, sound, and philosophy, Ash Yoga supports nervous system regulation, self-trust, and sustainable wellbeing.

Rooted in traditional yogic wisdom and lived experience, our mission is to offer education and practices where people can reconnect with their bodies, cultivate inner safety, and live with greater clarity, compassion, resilience and connection.

Our Origin Story

Ash Yoga was born from lived experience — through illness, loss, cultural crossing, and deep personal transformation. Through years of dedicated teaching to people in Yoga studios across the world.

Ash understands Yoga not as a performance or aesthetic, but as a living practice that supports people through real life: grief, chronic illness, nervous system dysregulation, and major transitions.

“Ash” represents what remains after what is no longer true falls away — a grounded place from which healing, clarity, and new life can emerge.

Ash is both the place of ending and new beginnings. Ash Yoga honours each part of the human experience; life, death and rebirth.
